Rhodium(I) carbonyl complexes of quinoline carboxaldehyde ligands and their catalytic carbonylation reaction
The dimeric rhodium precursor [Rh(CO)2Cl]2 reacts with quinoline (a) and its three isomeric carboxaldehyde ligands [quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde (b), quinoline-3-carboxaldehyde (c), and quinoline-4carboxaldehyde (d)] in 1:2 mole ratio to afford complexes of the type cis-[Rh(CO)2Cl(L)] (1ae1d), where L 1⁄4 aed. The complexes 1ae1d have been characterised by elemental analyses, mass spectrometry, I...
متن کاملCarbonyl(diphenylcyclopentadienyl)- und Carbonyl(tetraphenylcyclopentadienyl)rhodium(I) Komplexe Carbonyl(diphenylcyclopentadienyl)- and Carbonyl(tetraphenylcyclopentadienyl)rhodium(I) Complexes
[Rh(CO)2Cl] 2 reacts with 1,3-diphenylcyclopentadienyl sodium or tetraphenylcyclopentadienyl sodium with formation of (l,3-P h2C5H3)Rh(CO ) 2 (1) or (C5HPh4)Rh(CO )2 (2), respectively. The reaction of 1 or 2 with PPh3 yields the corresponding carbonyl(cyclopentadienyl)(triphenylphosphane)rhodium complexes (l,3 -P h 2C5H3)Rh(CO)(PPh3) (3) or (C5HPh4)Rh(CO)(PPh3) (4). The 'H and ' C reported and ...
متن کاملRhodium(III)-catalyzed oxidative carbonylation of benzamides with carbon monoxide.
An efficient strategy for the oxidative carbonylation of aromatic amides via C-H/N-H activation to form phthalimides using an Rh(III) catalyst has been developed. The reaction shows a preference for C-H bonds of electron-rich aromatic amides and tolerates a variety of functional groups.
متن کاملThe Effect of Temperature on Selectivity in the Oscillatory Mode of the Phenylacetylene Oxidative Carbonylation Reaction
Reaction temperature plays a major role in product selectivity in the oscillatory mode of the palladium-catalyzed phenylacetylene oxidative carbonylation reaction. At 40 °C, dimethyl (2Z)-2-phenyl-2-butenedioate is the major product whereas at 0 °C the major product is 5,5-dimethoxy-3-phenyl-2(5H)-furanone. The occurrence of oscillations in pH coincides with an increase in the rate of phenylace...
